Welcome to Sixth Grade!!!!

Dear students!

I am so excited to meet each and in every one of you!

In Social Studies we will embark on an adventure that takes us through time - back to the ancient people! We will study the development of technology, agriculture, political institutions, geography, art and culture from prehistoric times to the beginning of the Roman Empire.  In doing so, we will learn about the world in which we live and how we can impact our present and future.

In English, together we will explore and learn through writing and reading. Through this process, we will learn more about ourselves and about each other.  I will ask you to work hard, to push yourself, to take risks, to grow. And I will be right there beside you doing the same!

Keep in mind the following quote by my favorite philosopher Epictetus:

As concerns the art of living, the material is your own life.No great thing is created suddenly. There must be time. Give your best and always be kind.

With love,

Mrs. Hauck-Wood
