Chapter 21 Test Review/ Writing Workshop: Heart Mapping

Essential Question:


How did Confucianism, Daoism, and Legalism influence political rule in ancient China?

GOALS:   
To learn about the three philosophies that came out of the Warring States Period and to understand how this instability led to schools of thought. 

Agenda:

  • How can I mine my heart for topics that I care about?
  • How can I capture them and put them on my heart map?

Goals

  • To fill my Heart Map with memories: specific things, people, places and experiences that MATTER TO ME.
  • To choose a topic from my Heart Map and begin drafting my first poem by brainstorming as my details as possible.

Optional homework: Take home your composition book, set the time for 20 minutes and WRITE :)

Students take a quiz as they finish each book.   At end of March of students who complete the program will receive 5 points of extra credit from me :). All quizzes should be completed by Friday, March 23 to be eligible for the voting parties to be held in the library during both lunches, Wednesday, March 28.
