Achieve SBAC article/Identity

English/Social Studies
Goals:
To read the article twice. First for the gist and second to identify evidence that either supports the use of texting or argues against it. 


Agenda
1. Achieve 3000:  "To Text or to Talk?"
Some experts believe that teens and young adults who text instead of talk do not have the skills necessary to hold real, face to face conversations.
2. Dig Deeper
3. Achieve online work time
    

REMINDERS/HOMEWORK:  
  • Read 20 minutes a day 5 days a week
  • Achieve of Choice due Sunday, 9/14
  • "To Text or Talk?" due Sunday, 9/14 if not finished in class
Social Studies
Goals:

  2. I will begin to recognize the relationship between the individual and society.
