Hero's Journey/Identity: Masks

Humanities: English/Social Studies

Goals:
Our learning goal is for everyone in the class to be able to understand the steps of the Hero’s Journey and apply the model to different stories we have heard, books we have read, movies we have seen as well as to our own lives.

    To consider what aspects of ourselves we share with others.  

    Essential Questions:
    When and why do we wear masks?

    • Decide how you want to present yourself to the class.
      • Which aspects of your identity do they want to emphasize?
      • Which aspects of your identity do they wish to conceal?
    • Create your mask

    REMINDERS/HOMEWORK:  
    • Bring a book to school every day 
    • Finish your mask and glue it on the red construction paper!
